Deut. 6:4: Hear O Israel, the LORD is our God, the LORD
alone.
1 Kings. 18:39: And when all the people saw it, they fell on
their faces; and they said, "The LORD, he is
God; the LORD, he is God."
Matt. 16:16: Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ,
the Son of the living God."
Matt. 28:19: Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit.
John 1:49: Nathan'a-el answered him, "Rabbi, you are
the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"
John 6:68-69: Simon Peter answered him, "Lord to whom
shall we go? You have the words of eternal
life; and we have believed, and have come to
know, that you are the Holy One of God."
John 20:28: Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my
God!"
Acts 8:36-37: And as they went along the road they came
to some water, and the eunuch said, "See, here
is water! What is to prevent my being bap-
tized?" And Philip said, "If you believe
with all your heart, you may." And he
replied, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the
Son of God.
Acts 16:31: And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus,
and you will be saved, you and your house-
hold."
1 Cor. 8:6: yet for us there is one God, the Father,
from whom are all things and for whom we
exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through
whom are all things and through whom we
exist.
1 Cor. 12:3: Therefore I want you to understand that no
one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says
"Jesus be cursed!" and no one can say "Jesus
is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit.
1 Cor. 15:3-7: For I delivered to you as of first impor-
tance what I also received, that Christ died
for our sins in accordance with the scrip-
tures, that he was buried, that he was
raised on the third day in accordance with
the scriptures, and that he appeared to
Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he
appeared to more than five hundred brethren
at one time, most of whom are still alive,
though some have fallen asleep. Then he
appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
Phil. 2:6-11: who, though he was in the form of God, did
not count equality with God a thing to be
grasped, but emptied himself, taking the
form of a servant, being born in the like-
ness of men. And being found in human form
he humbled himself and became obedient unto
death, even death on a cross. Therefore God
has highly exalted him and bestowed on him
the name which is above every name, that at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in
heaven and on earth and under the earth, and
every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1 Tim. 3:16: Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of
our religion: He was manifested in the
flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by
angels, preached among the nations, believed
on in the world, taken up in glory.
Hebr. 6:1-2: Therefore let us leave the elementary doc-
trine of Christ and go on to maturity, not
laying again a foundation of repentance from
dead works and of faith toward God, with in-
struction about ablutions, the laying on of
hands, the resurrection of the dead, and
eternal judgment.
1John 4:2: By this you know the Spirit of God: every
spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has
come in the flesh is of God.
I am praying I guess in this world we have come upon many distinctive problems, and I whish I could get to them all, my prayers are all with you, I am sorry I am a little late in replying but with all the tests and other matters, and I thank my God I am able to still type and pray, I have found out my results from a test that was finally given yesterday, at least I know now, that I have been fighting for 4-1/2 months and now I finally know what I have, and infection deep in my jaw bone which has made it impossible to eat or chew. It seems when you are suffering in pain, living in the unknown, and doctors treating you for things that do not work, the pills, the malnutrition, and not to be able to have as much fellowship as needed, the lose of strength, and to weak to do anything, even as a preacher, you have to fight for your faith in our Lord, and as time went by both my mind and body have been getting poorer and inferior. I had all kinds of different effects going on within my entire intellect. Even though I had seen 9 doctors I was situated on the wrong Hawaiian island, so I am glad I just had to spend the last bit of money I had, to see a real doctor, on the Honolulu Island. He knew exactly what to do, so the next 4 weeks I will be under an IV, of antibiotics. What a strange world, as my best friend and pastor said to me the evil one wants to kill you, and move you out of the way, but it did not stop me, and my prayer work, I kept on sending out as many prayers as always, the weakness did effect me some, and there were some days that I couldn’t do a thing, but once you have Christ, there is no need to fear, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13. He will take over the burdens and the problems. We just give everything we have to God, and that is all there is to it. Our faith and our trust in Him is all we have, we can’t do anything on our own, and it is in Him, that has all the power. It is Him who has the power to heal, to bring joy, to mend a broken heart, to wipe the tears away, and comfort our sorrows, and have our dreams come forth, we can communicate to everyone that our prayers do make a difference, as we call upon God for any individual, or group and ask for prayer for anything, it is within Him, not us, and it is up to our faith, weather all our answers come all at once, or one step at a time, it is also a test within us all, of patience, endurance, and trust, and we have to wait upon Him to find the action, and when it does come it will be perfect, as always. I love you all my brothers and sisters, with prayer toward all healing and finances and hardships, and sufferings, and loneliness, family’s divided, family’s alone, family’s with a loss, will all change, and become a new meaning, a new light, a direction, a path, a focus, to maybe change paths, or roads, a realism soon for all of us, because of the strength of our awesome God.
“Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 3:13-14. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. In prayer, Rev. Paul
Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for the LORD your God fights for you, just as he has promised. Josh 23:10. The promises of God are overwhelming, and pretty unexplainable, but they are a fact, and they are truth, God can not lie. If God says he is going to do something He will, but it is all up to us, our faith, our belief, and our trust. These are the basic key elements to our eternal life in Christ Jesus. Here I am sitting and waiting and my body is falling apart, my nervous system needs more nutrition and I can’t seem to get enough in, fast enough. I am waiting for my doctor who doesn’t even know who I am, and what I stand for, that is on vacation waiting to clear my healing, and here I have to sit and wait to get one month of IV’s of antibiotics pumped into me, because of an infection in my jaw bone. Sometimes I feel like I am going to die, and it gets worse and worse day by day, and it took 5 months, and 9 doctors to figure all this out. All because of red tape, and of course our battle with the evil one. Enough about me, I just want to say there is good to this story, if I can have faith, through all of this, you can. I know God will heal me, and I know things will work out, I have gone through endless suffering, severe pain, not just physical, but in my mind and spirit. But in the event of all reality, (“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me," declares the LORD. Isa. 54:17). (What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Rom.8:31.) I sit and pray, and pray for as many people I can, for as long as I can, I do what I can do, and fight this in the making, and these strongholds, and I know within my heart you will be an over comer, just as I. You would not believe the spiritual warfare that is going on right now, I have never been under so much attack, and seen so many consecutive games being played by the devil, in my entire life. Maybe because of my prayer work, and the church, and maybe because I have that gift from God, to reach out to the hearts of all people and give them that little extra edge, and to let them know that God is there for all of everyone’s needs, all who ask Him. I believe God looks down at the plant earth and cries, there is so much lying and sin going on, He is really hurt, plus sending His Son down here to suffer and die for us, and a lot of the human race is just out there looking for money, and sin, and a good time, just for a short life here on this planet. My joy is reading God’s word, and being devoted to the Lord, and praying for people like you all. I can feel most of your hearts just reading your words in a prayer request, I almost feel like I am there with you, and most of the time I sit and cry for everyone else that has a harder life, with other complications, and is going through a lot more than I am. This is why I reach out for people, I worked so hard on Sunday’s sermon, and I didn’t have the strength to even finish the resurrection, (Easter) but maybe the Lord didn’t want me to. I actually felt ashamed, but I know that feeling comes from evil, every wrong feeling I get, or any negative feeling I get, is from evil. And I feel Satan and his agents are out there messing with all our lives, making the small things seem so large, and they aren’t. Not with God on our side, there is nothing that He can’t do. He’s God, He is our healer, our comforter, our redeemer, and He loves us so much, even when at times we don’t even thank Him. We have to praise God through all adversities, all sufferings, all diseases, all cancers, all sorrows, all troubles, and all problems. I guess that is another secret to our faith, trust and belief. I am praying for you all, and will continue to pray, God Bless you all! (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.") No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Rom. 8:36-37). (For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12.) (Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Psalm 32:10.) I bid you all grace and peace and love through our Lord, in prayer, Rev. Paul

I am praying, in this cold world we all need prayers, we all need comfort ,and we all need healing, I pray to the heavens that all the suffering stops, I ask in the name of Jesus that all of us that are feeling pain, anguish, distress, misery, agony, torment, or affliction from some sort of disease, or sickness, or hurt, or damage, or harm, or being upset, or some type of loneliness, or some type of separation, or some type of loss, or some type of suffering, or some type of addiction, I ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for all of us to be over comers through all the mud, the rain, the deep, the hospitals, the doctors, the machines, the broken homes, the broken families, the broken bodies, the broken hearts, the broken glass, the broken dreams, and the empty pockets, that we all take a stand through the power of God and Christ that we as children of God, be healed, be helped, be happy, be together with our families, be with our friends, be in our homes, to feel the touch of friendship, to feel the love of others, to feel contented, glad, joyful, cheerful and to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit within us all. Amen

This is where it all began on August 17,th 2003, The Church Ministries came alive like a living breathing organism, with our faithful prayer ministry reaching out to all of the globe and now we have gone world wide with more equipment, and more relations, now with 8 or more countries, we are doing our missions objective and also following the Great Commission, so the Lord gave me my mission but not the type that I figured, I thought it would be downtown with food and showers and a place for people to stay and learn the word, do some counseling and teaching and just taking care of the general public and be able to give to anyone that needs it. But the affliction I probably have, made the Church what it is today. It does look a bit different now, but I still try to maintain what we all can give. Now it is words, sermons, prayers, doctrine, and scriptures being spread all over the world getting into the remotest parts of the 10/40 window and even deeper parts of unmapped territory of this world. So The Church Ministries is now international missions team.

There are three bible scriptures about bearing of burdens. One tells us that “everyman shall bear his own burden” KJV, or For each one shall bear his own load (Gal. 6:5) NASB There are burdens which no one can carry for us, the kind we couldn’t even ask Jesus, and the kinds that no one can share with us, we must carry them alone. Theoretically in the cause and days of life itself, truth remains with our work, our duty, the added extras that are just done, and all kinds of personal responsibilities. So you see no one can live your life for you. Friends can help you with all kinds of edification and encouragement if they are around. Some burdens are shared almost totally alone. Sometimes you go without the sympathy, a smile, a cheerful heart, with caring inspirations with compassion warmth and affection, there is many a day that you do not see or talk to anyone. And if you do they are more doctors, and soon the doctors become all you have. So you grow and strive with the word, and still yet you must live it yourself. No one can make the certain choices for you, you do try to follow the Spirit’s leading and guidance, but you have to make the decisions. And that goes with your choices too. No one can have faith in God for you, and no one can believe in Christ for you. You have to pay your bills and that has to be done by you. And you and only you can get your sins forgiven. There are so many more obligations and responsibilities that all have to be done by you. You have to maintain yourself and you have to live your own life. No one can lovingly and unselfishly take up your load and carry it for you. You may have a friend at times come and take care of a burden here and there but the rest of the day or week you are on your own. King David loved his erring son Absalom but he could not die for him, although he must have thought about it.
Then far away we have the faithful mother who can help and feels the burdens of pain, but she can only do so much.
Next we have “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2), and there are burdens that others can help you carry. The thing is no one can suffer for us, but true human friendship can strengthen the knees that are feeble and give a dose to our human hearts to give us that strength to make it and endure to the end our own sufferings. No one can do our job for us but a friend can give you that sympathy and added groups of words with the proper edification, in which you gain the power, hope, and faith to continue with your work. Sympathy is a hard word to describe, it does not take the pain away or remove the sorrow or the burden, but it does give you that shoulder to cry on and the word “companionship” a feeling or an emotion that we all need. It is a great thing to have true brotherly fellowship and just that edge of friendship rub off, to were you get a feeling that you need one another. The thing that I have been praying for is for someone to share my burdens and so many others in the prayer ministry. I have realized that I have gone almost through unknown affliction this whole time without a human friend face to face, someone you can touch. You see I don’t feel not one of us could make it healthy through this world without someone to share the loads. And my joy I experience is when I am able to give something to someone else, like a prayer or some written word of edification to strengthen their heart and soul. So all I want to do is build up someone else’s heart and give them the strength to go on and then my own burdens will stand dormant. So I send my heart in words and prayers. So we are to “Bear one another’s burdens and thereby fulfill the law of Christ” (Gal 6:10) You see we only become like Christ when we become useful to others and when I get the response of accomplishing a deed or making someone smile or there is a change in their medical health, or they get completely healed, I feel like I have accomplished something for the Kingdom, and our Lord, that I didn’t waste the time caring about myself and my own burdens, if it wasn’t for Christ, I don’t know what would have happened to me. All I know is I love God’s people and I am here to help and pray, and share the good news of what Christ has done for me, and the whole human race. And our last or the third bible scripture is “Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you” (Psalm 55:22) I can go on for hours on this subject, but this will be our conclusion, because what Christ has done just to give me the strength and the hope, the guidance and helped me the whole way during these 21 months, and He was always there for me, and just to write this all down, there were times I shed some tears just writing this, and there are times when I looked back and felt the essence of victory in my heart, and for so many others. God Bless you all, and thank you for all your prayers. Rev. Paul www.thechurch-ministries.org
“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” (Eph. 4:14-19) God’s love is total, says Paul. It reaches every corner of our experience. It is wide it covers the breadth of our own experience, and it reaches out to the whole world. God’s love is long it continues the length of our lives. It is high it rises to the heights of our celebration and elation. His love is deep it reaches to the depths of discouragement, despair, and even death. When you feel shut out or isolated, remember that you can never be lost to God’s love. “The fullness of God” is fully expressed only in Christ (Col. 2:9-10). In union with Christ and through his empowering Spirit, we are complete. We have all the fullness of God available to us. But we must appropriate that fullness through faith and through prayer as we daily live for him. Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians is also for you. You can ask the Holy Spirit to fill every aspect of your life to the fullest. Have you ever worried about whether or not you really are a Christian? A Christian is anyone who has the Spirit of God living in him or her. If you have sincerely trusted Christ for your salvation and acknowledged Him as Lord, then the Holy Spirit has come into your life, and you are a Christian. You won’t know that the Holy Spirit has come if you are waiting for a certain feeling; you will know He has come because Jesus promised He would. When the Holy Spirit is working within you, you will believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and that eternal life comes through him (1 John 5:5); you will begin to act as Christ directs (Romans 8:5; Galatians 5:22-23); you will find help in your daily problems and in your praying (Romans 8:26-27); you will be empowered to serve God and do His will (Acts 1:8; Romans 12:6ff); and you will become part of God’s plan to build up his church (Eph. 4:12-13) “Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death? (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.") No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8:35-39) These verses contain one of the most comforting promises in all Scripture. Believers have always had to face hardships in many forms: persecution, illness, imprisonment, even death. These could cause them to fear that they have been abandoned by Christ. But Paul exclaims that it is impossible to be separated from Christ. His death for us is proof of His unconquerable love. Nothing can stop Christ’s constant presence with us. God tells us how great His love is so that we will feel totally secure in Him. If we believe these overwhelming assurances, we will not be afraid. “For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.” (Col. 2:9-10) Again Paul asserts Christ’s deity. “In Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” means that all of God was in Christ’s human body. When we have Christ we have everything we need for salvation and right living. “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for the next three and a half years! Then he prayed for rain, and down it poured. The grass turned green, and the crops began to grow again. [The Christian’s most powerful resource is communion with God through prayer.] The results are often greater than we thought were possible. Some people see prayer as a last resort to be tried when all else fails. This approach is backward. [Prayer should come first.] Because God’s power is infinitely greater than ours, it only makes sense to rely on it especially because God encourages us to do so. My prayers are ever before you, and with you, I myself have just climbed out of a great hole, and sickness and pain is still all around but if it wasn’t for Christ, I would not be here to pray for you, God Bless, Rev. Paul www.thechurch-ministries.org
[I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.] (2 Tim. 4:1-5)
You know many speakers’ today teachers and writers talk about the search of knowledge .Many of then want it and they are going for the gusto. Now in the end times the teachers today do not want knowledge they want goes with it , they want that power they want to be prideful so they can feel like smart men and feel like big people. These people will not listen to sound and wholesome teaching. The other reasons are they seem to reject the truth and chase after myths, you see this everywhere from liberal churches to seminaries and some university campuses. People think they have now a bit new enlightenment with all this New age and they seem to forget that bible sitting on the shelf gathering dust and they have figured they have a bit more to say then the word, these people have many things in common. They just might be in the zone, the zone to not want to seek the truth or to do not tolerate the truth. Also we have to consider there guidance might be from evil also and they could be a puppet thinking they have all this knowledge but they are being used to take control and destroy Christianity. They have no notice or respect for positive truth or any standard for the proper result. They reject truth to be a sensation to people they want to dazzle them with their knowledge. They want truth that fits there particular situation and as long as it makes sense to them they don’t care about how other people here the truth or if it is the truth at all. What they feel as far as truth , that will work for them but they are not thinking of others, there is that pride again, they might think what they know works for them, the funny thing about this whole knowledge thing of today with this is they just don’t care if it is truth as long as it sounds right, they use it and that is basically wrong, because everything must be sound an truth if it isn’t you are directing people in the wrong direction there are all kinds of possibilities and could bring a lot of set backs and could destroy many peoples outlook on other things it is like the game of dominos, you make one fall and then you can watch whole table fall one by one, and that is exactly what satan wants is for Christianity to fall and tumble, and all you need is a few hot heads and it could bring more destruction then even they themselves. People have to think before they do things, there are many people out there just satisfying themselves but don’t have a clue that they are just destroying other people’s lives. . It seems people of this day and we were warned of these false teachers and claim a right to what they believe as the truth and may not be the truth at all. People today will listen to most anything what seems convincing, you see that is there truth and they claim an absolute right to it. There viewpoints may be totally wrong, Although they profess objectively, there only defense for their viewpoints is the view points that suit there own desires Some and I would say many of these teachers have a great following because they are telling people whatever their itching ears what to hear. These same people that are in the pulpit today are following myths. We all need to be careful. False teaching can be found in many of a church, remember you should be like Timothy to have a clear mind and be constantly searching the truth in the word of God. When Paul spoke about false teaching, he usually focused on the evil intentions of the false teachers. However, false teachers could not flourish if they had no audience. Here Paul was pointing out the fault on the part of the listeners. They would no longer listen to right teaching because it said what they didn’t want to hear, convicting them and making demands they didn’t want to follow. So these people would turn to others who would tell them what was more appetizing. Like the false prophets of Old Testament times, these false teachers would teach what their audience wanted to hear. These people would turn away from the truth taught by Timothy, wandering off into the false teachers’ their interest would be concerned with strange myths. What they would hear made sense, seemed true, and made them comfortable. So wandering away from the difficult truth was easy. Now what do we do we have a whole load of teachers and some of them false in our schools and in our churches and in our seminaries? For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ? No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds. (2 Cor. 11:18-20) One Jewish writing (the Apocalypse of Moses) says that the story of Eve’s temptation includes Satan masquerading as an angel. Paul may have been thinking of this story, or he could have been referring to Satan’s plans and attitude to destroy Christianity. In either case, nothing could be more cunning sly and dishonest than Satan, the prince of darkness (Ephes. 6:12; Col. 1:13), disguising himself as an angel of light. In the same way, when the false teachers were claiming to represent Christ as servants of righteousness, they were lying shamelessly.
Satan and his servants can deceive us by appearing to be attractive, good, and moral. Many unsuspecting people follow smooth-talking, Bible-quoting leaders into cults that alienate them from their families and lead them into the practice of immorality and deceit. Don’t be fooled by external appearances. Our impressions alone are not an accurate indicator of who is or isn’t a true follower of Christ; so it helps to ask these questions: (1) Do the teachings confirm Scripture (Acts 17:11)? (2) Does the teacher affirm and proclaim that Jesus Christ is God who came into the world as a man to save people from their sins (1 John 4:1-3)? (3) Is the teacher’s life-style consistent with Biblical morality (Matthew 12:33-37)? Paul reminds the Corinthians that the false teachers and hypocritical leaders one day get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve. The principle of judgment applies to all who speak on God’s behalf. The apostle James said that teachers will be judged by the Lord with a closer scrutiny then those who sit under their teaching (James 3:1). You see how important things are and especially for me as a preacher we are faced with a judgment at the end quite different then others and what we teach and the words we use can be under judgment that is why before we even sit down to prepare lesson or a sermon we should spend some quiet moments in prayer asking the Holy spirit to guide our teaching and our knowledge and our attitudes. Remember we are to edify everyone me I am writing this letter here to warn the many people of today that can be taken in by they false teachers, this is my whole focus not to make myself look like a big man or looking for money, because this church just isn’t out to seek the glory of men only to God and this church does not make enough in donations to even support itself, If I would tell you how much this church made in the last two years you would be crying, because you know the work and the hours that have been put into this church. But we all know God will supply all our needs as so fit. And He has been with us all the way, it has been a moving experience what God has done for this prayer ministry and the Church itself. “Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.” (Rom. 16:17-18) When we read books or listen to sermons, we should check the content of what is written or said and not be fooled by smooth style. Christians who study God’s Word will not be fooled, even though superficial listeners may easily be taken in. For an example of believers who carefully checked God’s Word. “The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.” (Acts. 17:10-12) How do you evaluate sermons and teachings? The people in Berea opened the Scriptures for themselves and searched for truths to verify or disprove the message they heard. Always compare what you hear with what the Bible says. A preacher or teacher who gives God’s true message will never contradict or explain away anything that is found in God’s Word.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. (1Pet. 1:3-5) In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.1 Pet. 1:6-9
Do you need encouragement? Peter’s words offer joy and hope in times of trouble, and he bases his confidence on what God has done for us in Christ Jesus. We’re called into a living hope of eternal life (1 Peter 1:3). Our hope is not only for the future; eternal life begins when we trust Christ and join God’s family. No matter what pain or trial we face in this life, we know that it is not our final experience. Eventually we will live with Christ forever. The Jews had looked forward to an inheritance in the promised land of Canaan (Numbers 32:19; Deut. 2:12; Deut. 19:9). Christians now look forward to a family inheritance in the eternal city of God. God has reserved the inheritance; it will never fade or decay; it will be unstained by sin. The best part is that you have an inheritance if you have trusted Christ as your Savior. God will help us remain true to our faith through whatever difficult times we must face. The “last time” is the judgment day of Christ described in Romans 14:10 and Rev. 20:11-15. We may have to endure trials, persecution, or violent death, but our souls cannot be harmed if we have accepted Christ’s gift of salvation. We know we will receive the promised rewards. Why were Christians the target of persecution? (1) They refused to worship the emperor as a god and thus were viewed as atheists and traitors. (2) They refused to worship at pagan temples, so business for these moneymaking enterprises dropped wherever Christianity took hold. (3) They didn’t support the Roman ideals of self, power, and conquest; and the Romans scorned the Christian ideal of self-sacrificing service. (4) They exposed and rejected the horrible immorality of pagan culture. Peter mentions suffering several times in this letter: 1 Peter 1:6-7; 1 Peter 3:13-17; 1 Peter 4:12-19; 1 Peter 5:9. When he speaks of trials, he is not talking about natural disasters or the experience of God’s punishments, but the response of an unbelieving world to people of faith. All believers face such trials when they let their light shine into the darkness. We must accept trials as part of the refining process that burns away impurities and prepares us to meet Christ. Trials teach us patience (Romans 5:3-4; James 1:2-3) and help us grow to be the kind of people God wants.
As gold is heated, impurities float to the top and can be skimmed off. Steel is tempered or strengthened by heating it in fire. Likewise, our trials, struggles, and persecutions refine and strengthen our faith, making us useful to God. “Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.” (Phil. 2:12) “Work out your salvation,” in light of the preceding exhortation to unity, may mean that the entire church was to work together to rid themselves of divisions and discord. The Philippian Christians needed to be especially careful to obey Christ, now that Paul wasn’t there to continually remind them about what was right. We too must be careful about what we believe and how we live, especially when we are on our own. In the absence of cherished Christian leaders, we must focus our attention and devotion even more on Christ so that we won’t be sidetracked. “But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.” (Phil 3:7-11)
When Paul spoke of his “profit,” he was referring to his credentials, credits, and successes. After showing that he could beat the Judaizers at their own game (being proud of who they were and what they had done), Paul showed that it was the wrong game. Be careful of considering past achievements so important that they get in the way of your relationship with Christ.
After Paul considered everything he had accomplished in his life, he said that it was all “a loss” when compared with the greatness of knowing Christ. This is a profound statement about values: a person’s relationship with Christ is more important than anything else. To know Christ should be our ultimate goal. Consider your values. Do you place anything above your relationship with Christ? If your priorities are wrong, how will you reorder them? No amount of lawkeeping, self-improvement, discipline, or religious effort can make us right with God. Righteousness comes only from God. We are made righteous (receive right standing with him) by trusting in Christ. He exchanges our sin and shortcomings for his complete righteousness. Paul gave up everything—family, friendship, and freedom—in order to know Christ and his resurrection power. We too have access to this knowledge and this power, but we may have to make sacrifices to enjoy it fully. What are you willing to give up in order to know Christ? A crowded schedule in order to set aside a few minutes each day for prayer and Bible study? Your friend’s approval? Some of your plans or pleasures? Whatever it is, knowing Christ is more than worth the sacrifice. When we are united with Christ by trusting in him, we experience the power that raised him from the dead. That same mighty power will help us live morally renewed and regenerated lives. But before we can walk in newness of life, we must also die to sin. Just as the resurrection gives us Christ’s power to live for him, his crucifixion marks the death of our old sinful nature. We can’t know the victory of the resurrection without personally applying the crucifixion. When Paul wrote, “somehow, to attain to the resurrection” he was not implying uncertainty or doubt. He was unsure of the way that he would meet God, whether by execution or by natural death. He did not doubt that he would be raised, but attainment of it was within God’s power and not his own.Just as Christ was exalted after his resurrection, so we will one day share Christ’s glory (Rev. 22:1-7). Paul knew that he might die soon, but he had faith that he would be raised to life again. Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil 3:12-14) Paul says that his goal is to know Christ, to be like Christ, and to be all Christ has in mind for him. This goal absorbs all Paul’s energy. This is a helpful example for us. We should not let anything take our eyes off our goal—knowing Christ. With the single-mindedness of an athlete in training, we must lay aside everything harmful and forsake anything that may distract us from being effective Christians. What is holding you back? Paul had reason to forget what was behind—he had held the coats of those who stoned Stephen, the first Christian martyr (Acts 7:57-58, Paul is called Saul here). We have all done things for which we are ashamed, and we live in the tension of what we have been and what we want to be. Because our hope is in Christ, however, we can let go of past guilt and look forward to what God will help us become. Don’t dwell on your past. Instead, grow in the knowledge of God by concentrating on your relationship with him now. Realize that you are forgiven, and then move on to a life of faith and obedience. Look forward to a fuller and more meaningful life because of your hope in Christ. I am sorry I got a bit carried away but I wanted to edify and speak to your soul that even when everything is going wrong and everything you touch breaks, or people hurt you and say this or that and some even lie, my life is a life of pain and questions, and all I have is this Church and this prayer ministry and if I can help a few people on the way it brings me great joy to know that I was able to testify about the love of Jesus and to say things will all work out, and there lies ahead of us a peace and a place where there will not be anymore tears, and no pain and just a life of love and smiles and a happiness that can not be explained. God bless you my prayers are with you and I will add your name to the Church prayer list, even though they are scattered all over, in all kinds of files, one day I will put them all in one book. So keep the faith and know you have a friend. Rev. Paul www.thechurch-ministries.org

My brothers and sisters this is one of the best addition to The Church Ministries we ever have gotten, these are Sis Shanna’s websites from all over the world, and she wrote me and told me to do what ever would be needed to circulate the Word and the Love of Jesus from all over the world. People need a place to go to pick up different countries and find out directly what is going on, this is a major blessing and gift please thank Sis Shanna, she is also known as the Belovedservant, and if you see her on any of the prayer sites pray along with her, or pray for her, or pray for who she is praying for, she is a God send, and anointed, she gets around, so let us all praise God for her kindness and this added blessing.
