Good morning everyone, from Hawaii to all the points of the world. Today like last week we are going to forget about all my medical problems and let us start a new day of life with the fellowship of Jesus. I must add that I finally did get my follow up 6 weeks later from the last visit to the doctor and before he left to Iraq he said he got a good man to take care of me and he will see me in three weeks, but let us all forget about the past and God is our Great physician so there is no need to worry, God takes care of His children. So today let us start a new life which we can share with our families and friends and children. God is so awesome that He brings light to all the dark places and makes all things new. We should all be like little children again when we first heard of the good news. That is the only thing I would like to remember, when we finally gave up our own lives of sin and death, and gave everything to Christ. He is the King of Kings why wouldn’t we want to be in the part of His love and light. Then we all went about telling our friends and neighbors of the decision that we all made, and we were so excited we just naturally went around spreading the love and compassion of our Savior Jesus Christ.
We Know this world is full of false teachings and doctrines but today let us focus on the truth. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, and we all know who we are and “we” are the ones that need to change, “we” are the ones carrying sin and the carnal flesh of this world. We all understand that pain, hurts, sufferings and all kinds of different burdens can change anyone, but we are carrying the faith of Christ and we will triumph over all. Jesus does not change we do. We are a race of people that in scripture are compared to as filthy rags* We also are a race of people that God’s grace has made us new again. We are new again and we change for the better day by day, and we shouldn’t listen to people, or preachers or our bosses, we are changing the word says so, we have to stand on the word. God looks at us as true Christians, if we are, and maybe that will be what we find out today, we don’t want to be an enmity towards God. God Loves us so much, He had His son come down to earth and suffer and was ridiculed and not believed, laughed at, then tortured beyond what you or I could ever live through and He then died on the cross for “us.” So God could look at each one of us and see Jesus, not the sinful man of Adam, God went a step further and provided a way through redemption and away of confessing all our sins to be holy, sanctified, set apart and beloved of God. What more could we ever ask for. Praise the name of the Lord!
* But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6 KJV
Dear Father, I do not know where to begin all we can say is we love You, please give us that spiritual appetite to learn more about you. We thank You so much for Your grace and giving us so many chances, we have sinned ever before You and I am at the top of the list of sinners. You choose to love us even when we were in such sin you could not even look at us and still provided away to love us. Father, we are here to praise Your name, and we just want to thank you for planning and giving us everything we need to learn and to have fellowship with you We need your strength we cannot get through this world of darkness by ourselves and so many people try to do it. Father I pray some newcomers or visitors come and understand the power and love You have and what You have done for us, sending us Jesus and all He had to go through and all You had to go through just watching and feeling His feelings, plus you brought the Holy Spirit upon us all to give us another form of Divine direction and guidance. We ask your forgiveness, we are just humans Father, please help us fight the evil one so we can be at peace with You forever. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
I will sing to you, LORD! I will celebrate your kindness and your justice. Please help me learn to do the right thing, and I will be honest and fair in my own kingdom. I refuse to be corruptor to take part in anything crooked, and I won't be dishonest or deceitful. Anyone who spreads gossip will be silenced, and no one who is conceited will be my friend. I will find trustworthy people to serve as my advisors, and only an honest person will serve as an official. No one who cheats or lies will have a position in my royal court. Each morning I will silence any lawbreakers I find in the countryside or in the city of the LORD. Psalm 100 CEV
Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises. Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, With the lyre and the sound of melody. Psalm 98:4-5 NASB
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled. Matt. 5:6 NIV
There is a large amount of people who attend there individual churches and schools and different denominations on Sunday. The problem is today, that many are sent home forgetting what they have heard or leave the church spiritually drained. It seems in this world we all need to be fed. We need to be fed the bread of life with the word of God mixed with devotions and simple word phrases that would make you remember key notes of scripture and teaching along with maybe a relevant story that people could identify with in there own lives, which helps them not only re-live the occurrence but to have visions of the future, such as touching the hand of Jesus and living in the many rooms that Jesus promised to us. The older crowds think on these things because they may be facing a long stay in the hospital or a surgery or maybe they just feel old and they are running the clock as some would say. In the most heartbreaking thing, is to go to the church to be strengthened and have there faith made stronger and that word of grace is brought into meaning, knowing that through Gods grace no matter who you are, what you wear, if you took a shower, or you may be wearing a silk suit , WE ARE ALL SINNERS to God, and sometimes we all represent filthy rags. So Gods grace forgets about how we look, what we do for a living, and we are all there to except His unmerited favor, God loves us and we should run that through our minds all during the course of the day, and everyday.
Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Phil. 3:8-11 KJV
The meaning of the gathering is to be edified and filled, those that are sent away and not obtaining anything is such a tragedy today, many preachers will be shouting to make their point, or to have a particular scripture stand out. What many preachers should try to do is look ahead. Will these souls take this message home with them tucked underneath there arm? Are they remembering the teaching in their minds or their heart?
Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. Psalm 107:8-9 KJV
We all know the Holy Spirit can direct the teachings and what is said and how it is said and we have to realize will they gain the peace and tranquility from God and the word along with the preacher just by sitting in the pews and gathering together to hear the message of hope love, and faith? I am sorry to say many leave the church and rush out for breakfast or lunch and not even get fed spiritually. It is a spiritual food we are partaking of, not of a food you can put into your bellies. The mind works in the same capacity, if it did not get fed the spiritual food, then the mind thinks of the next best thing, the stomach.
Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who I am, you would ask me, and I would give you living water." "But sir, you don't have a rope or a bucket," she said, "and this is a very deep well. Where would you get this living water? And besides, are you greater than our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his cattle enjoyed?" Jesus replied, "People soon become thirsty again after drinking this water. But the water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life." "Please, sir," the woman said, "give me some of that water! Then I'll never be thirsty again, and I won't have to come here to haul water." John 4:10-15 NIV
God wants all of us to obtain this spiritual feeding. We need it to grow fruit, not like the other kind to where we have to unbuckle our seat belts at the end of the day. The fruit that we grow only a few can see and only the ones that are growing fruit can see others that are beginning to sprout up and make small vines. Of course we do not actually see fruit growing, “some do” we can tell almost by the light they give off, or the peace they carry, the smile, the security, and the sparkle of the eye, meaning they have a face without fear only contentment and joy. It is almost like they know they will be in the hands of Jesus. You do not see that worried look, or that look of fear. Wrinkled brows of confusion, a simple born again Christian. The way they talk without talking about themselves, almost tapping into the beam of light coming from the heavens spreading Christ.
It is a shame that many people leave the gathering or the Church building empty and they just are not fed. Some are going there for just that purpose, some Christians are hungry for the word, some are just hungry so they can learn something new, but not for themselves but to share it with others. That is what Christianity is all about, sharing and learning the word amongst each other and then it spreads out, bringing the three into formation, faith, hope, and love. As they leave, they should leaving with something deep within them, food that stays within their hearts.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. "This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh." John 6:47-51 NASB
And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood]. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day. For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him. Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me. This is the Bread that came down from heaven. It is not like the manna which our forefathers ate, and yet died; he who takes this Bread for his food shall live forever. John 6: 53-58 AMP
Our main focus is why we are here or at another gathering, even a church website, we all must agree that we are there and here to praise God and make a beautiful noise unto The Lord, and to thank Him for all the blessings we just did not have time for during the week, or we forgot about ,or we were to busy, for this is what makes Sunday so important.
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD ; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. Psalm 95:1-2 NIV
For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Psalm 95:3-7 NIV
We also are here to pray, it seems, that all our prayers do make a difference while we are in the surroundings of the church building or a Christian gathering of any kind, but we all know as Christians we can pray anywhere and our Lord likes it when we are praying in secret in our prayer closet. Plus it is written, we should be praying without ceasing.
Now a days, people are leaving worship feeling not any better or having any added strength in them, they are not carrying that smile of happiness and joy, just for the ability to have a place where they can meet and gather with other Christians. It is a privilege for us to gather in the U.S. There are many countries that worship still in caves and in far away jungles or broken down buildings, and all types of hidden places, and if they were caught they might be tortured or tormented and in some places in the world even executed. So, what people learn at the gathering has to be well worth putting your life on the line. The thing is do we blame the speaker or the teacher or the minister for not feeding the flock? No we can not. There are times when we ourselves are to blame. I have spoken many times of the different churches and the way they conduct their services, but this Sunday, I am speaking about ourselves, the ones sitting in the pews, or in front of a computer, or listening to a preacher preach this message somewhere far into the woods or jungle or even some place remote and hidden.
I began last Sunday to think about this that a lot of us to church out of routine. Here I was so exhausted I was falling asleep because I spent 23 hours on my own sermon and I was ashamed that I could not get it done by an earlier time for the pieces of the congregation in India and they are 14 hours ahead. Greenwich Meantime here in Hawaii is - 10 hours, so our congregation is scattered all over the world, I myself have to make it a point to get things done at the proper times for people across the globe. Also I too can sit and worship and not be so tired, you see that was one thing I was not thinking about. I was focusing on The Church Ministries, even though I am the pastor under all kinds of brutal attacks and complications, there has to be a time where I myself need to worship God. I do not know if other preachers feel the way I do but we all need to be fed. We all need that fellowship and gathering around other Christians to praise our Mighty God. Maybe that is why I sit all hours on Saturday working on the sermon, and when Sunday comes around I am exhausted. Last week I thought about it, you see we all need to be hungry for the word and we can learn from any speaker and we should respect and honor each speaker. We can be fed but we all need the appetite. You see “we” need that appetite, that hunger. Some of us can go to a gathering and listen, but not listen, or walk in there with judgment and not get fed a thing. Then where do we end up spiritually? Here we are our mortal bodies are going to die and our spirits are going to live a life of eternity with God. If we do not start feeding our spiritual lives we will soon starve our spiritual future. So in essence we are destroying our own destiny of life which is eternal, by not feeding our spiritual bodies.
I do a lot of research on a Sunday Sermon and the study time, and the grouping of notes together. Yes I get fed, but you take my good friend, he is a pastor and I know he has a lot to say and here I am, dosing in and out while he was speaking, which is disrespectful not to take in what he was saying, but with half hour sleep how could any man truly concentrate and get fed the bread of life. So my brothers and sisters I have tried writing out the sermon on Thursday or Friday and to tell you the truth, what ever I wrote or gathered or took notes on I ended up using something totally different on Saturday from what I wrote down and printed and outlined, but to my surprise the Lord is showing me this can be done so I can still be fed. To make a deeper point you all know what I have gone through medically and I cannot take these attacks and teach and neglect my spiritual life too. I need that hunger and thirst after righteousness. I fall into so many prayer requests during the week and I am draining myself. There are so many spiritual advances out there and we all must grab a hold of them. God spreads full spiritual food for each of us constantly. It is up to us whether we eat or not. We need that divine appetite!
People sit down in there pews and all kinds of food are placed in front of them. God guides us to each church and God provides the food. We in turn need that direction, but that old saying you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink it.
Last Sunday as I attended a church and as I talked with a few people, they all said this is the church if you want to get fed. In other words, all these different people sat down and each were richly feed and they were rejoicing in the faith, hope and love and they all seemed to be refreshed and renewed, but they came there to eat and got fed. Now there are still some gatherings and church buildings like any other place, people sit down and leave completely empty. Everyone has a different attitude; some have been caught in cult churches or churches that praised the pastor more than God. They now have counselors to help you back out of the experience and start a new life with faith hope, and love. We cannot forget to constantly pray, that God would make us hungry for Himself. We need that secure relationship between us and the Father; we are to forget the past and all the things that have happened to us. Tomorrow is a new day and my Brothers and Sisters keep praying for that spiritual appetite and God will reward you.
Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:12-14 KJV
But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Thes. 5:12-23 NASB
"Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.= No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, "Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. Jer 31:31-34 ESV
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Look, I'm going to rain down food from heaven for you. The people can go out each day and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether they will follow my instructions. Tell them to pick up twice as much as usual on the sixth day of each week." EX 16:4-5 NIV
Jerusalem, you are sad and discouraged, tossed around in a storm. But I, the LORD, will rebuild your city with precious stones; for your foundation I will use blue sapphires. Your fortresses will be built of rubies, your gates of jewels, and your walls of gems. I will teach your children and make them successful. You will be built on fairness with no fears of injustice; every one of your worries will be taken far from you. Isaiah 54:11-14 CEV
