"Sickness" Sunday Service Assembly September 21st, 2008
The Church Ministries
Bible Truth Christian Church
Good Morning, to all the elect and the saints of Jesus Christ, from our central location in Hilo, Hawaii to 36 countries and beyond. We have so many people reading our sermons we have lost count with how many countries we reach. We welcome new visitors, and return visitors, our regular members, and their guests. Plus we welcome our staff again this week for our Sunday greeting and worship. We are the few who firmly believe in Jesus Christ- the Son of God who was humiliated, tormented, tortured, beaten, whipped till Jesus had almost no skin on His back and sides, the flesh was just ripped off, and stripped as those leather straps with pieces of metal and bone on the ends, just dug in to His body and tore the skin right off Him. No normal man could have taken the abuse the Roman guards did to Him. From most of the films, especially The Passion, which was so intense and so graphic to watch and what they actually did to our Jesus. People say the real event was worse, I sat and cried, I almost could not watch it, and many times I almost shut it off. I could not watch the suffering and all the blood that was around that post where Jesus was tied up and whipped. The man doing the whipping was in my opinion looked like he enjoyed hurting the Son of God, if that man only knew who Jesus really was I guess things would have been different. But when he turned Jesus’ body and did more flogging and the whips just dug into his skin- and as he pulled back sheets of flesh in rows and lines were just ripped off his body. There was so much blood the man was slipping all over the area- and he just didn’t stop. Like I said before no regular man could have taken it. They would have passed out, and would have said a variety of words that would have ended in sin. But Jesus did not sin, he might have uttered small yelps, after being hit in the same area over and over. Jesus knew ahead of time what He was facing when He was in prayer in the garden. He was sweating blood, because he knew how much pain there was going to be. This whole event was an utter tragedy. Scripture had to be fulfilled. [Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.] (1Pet.2:24 KJV) That is why Jesus went and took those stripes, the scripture was written in the past tense, so when I pray on people and dot their head with oil in a cross pattern, and lay my hands on the injury or pain or any other problem, I know they will be healed, scripture does not lie, if the person being prayed for has just a small amount of faith they will be healed from any problem. His disciples had know idea how bad it was going to be, just think how Jesus felt, they were sleeping and He needed them awake and standing by Him, at least talking with Him and giving Him the company He needed each time He was praying, He needed to talk to the Father- before the great multitude and Judas came to seize Him, carrying clubs and swords, ordered by the chief priests and elders of the people. The evil men almost fell backwards to the ground when they heard Jesus say I am the one you want, Even after Judas kissed Him to identify Him, and they still were saying we want Jesus of Nazareth. It seemed the guards with all their weapons were more afraid of Him as He just stood there calmly. So much happed when they brought Him to Caiaphas the high priest, also where the scribes and elders were trying to find false testimonies so they could put Him to death, many false witnesses came forth, but those two were all they needed about the destroying the temple and rebuild it in three days, they were trying to make Jesus speak but He kept silent, until they asked are you the Son of God, Then Jesus said you have said it yourself, they were all thrilled that they can pin blasphemy on Him, they were so eager to kill Him, they all thought He deserved to die. Then they spat in his face some hit him with their fists and some slapped Him. Out in the courtyard Peter denied Him 3 times then the cock crowed, then Peter wept intensely, when he remembered what Jesus said to him. After seeing all this Judas returned the 30 pieces of silver, but the counsel would not take it and put it back into their treasury, after Judas hung himself they used the money to bury him and bought potter’s field, “the field of blood” still called the same name even today. A burial ground for strangers.  Then they brought him in front of the governor and he could not find anything wrong with Him, He asked the people who they wanted to release on this special holiday, the same people Jesus helped and healed- shouted for Barabbas to go free, and the one called Christ they yelled crucify Him. What evil has this man done? And the people yelled again crucify Him, Pilate knew a riot was about to start and his wife gave him a note not to get involved with this innocent man, and the chief priests and elders convinced the people to let Barabbas go free, and Jesus to be put to death, so Pilate washed his hands in front of the people and said I am innocent of this man’s blood see to that yourselves, then a major scripture was recorded : [Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.] (Matt. 27:25 KJV) This is where they scourged Him, and how I explained it all above, then they weaved a crown of thorns and placed it on His head and they pushed down on the crown and the thorns stuck into the top of His head and more blood ran down his face. Then they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe around Him and a reed in His right hand, and they knelled down before Him and mocked Him saying Hail King of the Jews, then they spat on Him again and beat Him over the head with the reed then they took off the robe and put on His regular clothes and sent Him off to be crucified. Look what they have done to this man, normal people would have had a breakdown by now, and how can people be so cruel? I seen it in my life, and felt the energy of torment from others, the joy people have when they hurt you, and they actually get off on it. To me that is just sick, then in His condition made Him carry His cross to Golgotha-(Place of the Skull) He collapsed on the way through town- some were crying and some were mocking Him even more. Then Simon from Cyrene had to take His cross the rest of the way. Then He said he was thirsty and the gave him some gall which is cheap wine almost like vinegar they say they also put something like morphine in the bowl and put a sponge in the bowl and with a stick they can reach up and let the person suck the juice from the sponge. The place most Christians believe that it was Gordon’s Calvary and the Garden Tomb, also Roman Catholics and other Orthodox churches say the tomb was the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, so in 1842 General Gordon discovered the tomb he believed was the tomb of Jesus. Nearby on a hill are two cavities that give the appearance of the skull. These two eye sockets give Gordon’s Calvary the credibility it needed. However , the sockets were used for bolts and hinges in the jambs (One of a pair of vertical posts or pieces that together form the sides of a door, window frame, or fireplace, for example.) so this indicates that the tomb was closed by a door not a rolling stone. Also speculation- more speculation- it says there was a type of window at the top of the doorway of the original chamber, now partially blocked with masonry- Golgotha goes back as the site where Constantine built “The Church of the Holy Sepulcher” back in 327 A.D. and built  right over the temple of Venus, that was torn down first and it seems to be the same assumed spot. The crucifixion took place outside of the second wall of Jerusalem – (Heb. 13:12 KJV)  In 1963  a woman named Kenyon checked out the situation and that same church was located outside of the second wall so it could mark the spot of Christ’s burial and death. But Calvary has been the name and place for such along time- how could we have missed the true sight. The Holy Sepulcher church is only speculation, but who was there at that time. We always had difficulty finding Calvary- the right spot because all the surroundings were destroyed by Hadrian the emperor back in 135 A.D. which hurts many Christians not to know exactly were Jesus was buried and resurrected. At the cross at Calvary, God placed all of our sins upon Jesus, and accepted Him to take the place of us- Jesus took our place and He provided for our atonement.  [For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.] (2Cor. 5:21 KJV) [But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.] (Rom. 5:8 KJV) We haven’t even talked about the torment of the nails. Just imagine someone driving a rusty large nail through your wrist or hands, in some films and pictures we see rope also holding the Body of Christ up, and if it was driven through the center of the hand the weight of His body-the nail would tear right through the hand. Plus another nail driven through both of His feet, just imagine the pain, and Jesus didn’t even say one bad word. They broke the legs of the other two men on each side of Him being crucified also at the same time, because they wanted them to die faster, the one guy had an attitude, and the other believed that Jesus was the Son of God, which is why He told the thief that he will join Him in paradise that day. Jesus had to lift his body to breath- and think about it while lifting up to breath you had to rub your bad injured back against the rough and splintery wooden cross, these Romans new how to torture people, each man was flogged or whipped on their backs, so they would have to suffer even more to stay alive, and all Jesus could say was “forgive them Father for they no not what they do.” So after they broke the legs on both men they came up to Jesus and He was already dead. You all know what he said to the Father “please don’t forsake me” and “it is finished, remember one of the guards pushed a spear into His side and water and blood came out, the water and the blood are symbolic – [This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.] (1John 5:6 KJV) Also the water can be considered an element of baptism and the Blood a symbol of His death and Salvation. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (1 John 5:7-8 KJV) You see there is so much I can type for hours and I have not even done the prayers yet and the sun is coming up. [And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And sitting down they watched him there; And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. ( Add on from the Book of John-Remember it was written in 3 languages- Hebrew, Latin and Greek) Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left. And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him. He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now, if he will have Him: for he said, I am the Son of God. The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children. When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.] (Matt. 27:35-66 KJV) [In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.] (Matt. 28:1-20 KJV) There is so much I could add but I just wanted to stress the fact of the life and times of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, look at what He had to deal with, all the torment and the pain, like rubbing His back on a open bloody back to breath, they never stopped messing with Him, look what He did for us and look how much love is in Our Lord, to take our places, and take the sin of the whole world-past-present-and future and place it on His back,  it was so Heavy that the Father had to look away for a spit second before He died, because God the Father can’t have anything to do with sin. So my friends and fellow saints, stay away from temptation and sin, in other Gospels “It is finished” is a main scripture. And with our Church today, we had to show how much love Jesus had for us, plus the pain and humility and torcher He had to go through so we could have a second chance at life without death, No one could love someone as much as the Lord, that is why the Father made Him the King of Kings, well our announcements and saying hello- it is finished.
DOES THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH EXIST TODAY?

         1. Gates of Hell have not prevailed against it. [And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.] (Mt. 16:18 KJV).

         2.    Could not be destroyed. [And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.] Da. 2:44

[For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.] (Isa. 9:6, 7 KJV)
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 1:30-33 KJV).

         3.    Could not be shaken.   [Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:]  (Heb. 12:28 KJV)
         4.    There are over six hundred religious bodies in the world. They cannot all be  right. Some must be counterfeit. The presence of the counterfeit always
argues that some where there is a genuine.

ONLY ONE RELIGIOUS BODY CAN BE IDENTIFIED
           WITH THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

       1.    Every religious body bears one or more points of resemblance to the New
              Testament church.
       2.    One point of dissimilarity brands a religious body as a counterfeit.
       3.    The church of Christ is identical with the New Testament church in every
              respect.
HOW CAN THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH BE IDENTIFIED?
         1.    By its name. Things are identified by name.
         2.    By complete description of it in New Testament.
         3.    By certain distinctive marks revealed in New Testament.
         4.    By the fruit it bears.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matt. 7:13-20 KJV).
       ITS IDENTITY.
         1.    Christ is the ONLY Head. [And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.] Eph. 1:22, 23
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.(Col. 1:18-29 KJV).

         2.    It is named for Christ. [For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.  (Eph. 3:14-19 KJV)

[Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. I know that after I am gone, ferocious wolves will get in among you, not sparing the flock; Even from among your own selves men will come to the front who, by saying perverse (distorted and corrupt) things, will endeavor to draw away the disciples after them [to their own party]. Therefore be always alert and on your guard, being mindful that for three years I never stopped night or day seriously to admonish and advise and exhort you one by one with tears. And now [brethren], I commit you to God [I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care]. And I commend you to the Word of His grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor]. It is able to build you up and to give you [your rightful] inheritance among all God's set-apart ones (those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul). I coveted no man's silver or gold or [costly] garments. You yourselves know personally that these hands ministered to my own needs and those [of the persons] who were with me. In everything I have pointed out to you [by example] that, by working diligently in this manner, we ought to assist the weak, being mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to receive. Having spoken thus, he knelt down with them all and prayed. And they all wept freely and threw their arms around Paul's neck and kissed him fervently and repeatedly, Being especially distressed and sorrowful because he had stated that they were about to see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship. I added several points of importance!] (Acts. 20:28-38 KJV)

[Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.]  (Rom.16:16 KJV)
         3.    Its members wear but one name. [And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.] (Acts 11:26 KJV).
         4.    It began at Jerusalem. [But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.]  (Acts 1:8 KJV)

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs-we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!" Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, "What does this mean?" Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine." Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

“ In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
     and they will prophesy.
I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
     and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. David said about him:

“I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
     I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will live in hope,
because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.'
"Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“The Lord said to my Lord:
     "Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
     a footstool for your feet."

"Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call." With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.] (Acts 2:6-49 NIV)

I added the whole experience to share with you all for a better understanding, of “The Church” and Peters change- with strength and faith from the Spirit, God made Peter stronger in character through the sins he did when he denounced the Lord 3 times of knowing the Christ. People have to understand that Peter was in fear, but after Pentecost just listen to the speech that everyone heard plus to benefit being a part of “The Church- and Christ”, all in all- and all are one- with the true “Church of Jesus Christ”. Don’t you believe 3,000 men were convinced and led to the truth, with all the different cultures, races, and origins? It must have been a mark in history for “The Church” Peter’s speech changed history for the new members of the true “Church of Jesus Christ.”
         5.    Its origin dates from Pentecost, A. D. 33. [And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.] (Acts 2:1 KJV).

         6.    Its "charter members" were Jews. Any church founded by Gentiles is not the
New Testament church- so they say?
I am glad that I have Jewish blood running through my veins. I founded this church and named it with the sub-title “The Bible Truth Christian Church”©. We named our Church – “The Church Ministries Inc.” Most of the early Churches didn’t really have names- they were called The Church {at or in} Antioch or Philippi or Galatia- etc. Most of you all know the story, I have told you all how we got our Churches name, It was first named The Church at Hilo, with a church charter- things change- and I had to change it because there was a chance that I would have rented out one of the two local churches where I was located, and then the Mission deal for downtown, but I lived 4 miles out of Hilo, and now I live in the heart of Hilo, if The Church got so big like in Honolulu- the name would not correspond- so I changed it to “The Church- Ministries” this way it could be moved, and if I added the mission it all would correspond, no matter were it was located, but I still wanted the early church name, to be a true church- and being people didn’t think it was a practical church, or I would hear “oh just a church on the internet” I spent a lot of money when I had it- to be Inc. And to be a real 501 (3)(c) tax deductible church. But now getting Incorporated I am considered to be a “{Public Charity- Non Profit section 170}”, because no one comes to the house to worship, we worship online throughout the world, so we have a large audience, so if I could get help with building the Mission, we would be a Church/Mission, but being as sick as I am- and having all these medical problems, I need help. I have put 5 years of my life writing and building this site, with well over 250 pages and some pages have 10-20 typed pages of data- 237 free sermons- plus everything is all free, we are independent, we don’t sell anything, no pop-ups, no advertising, just a plain true church of God with sound doctrine, We still will be a Non-Profit- Public Charity until I have the strength to get a building for the mission, and the Word has been spreading to places all over the world, and the people that live in each country act as their own missionaries, by spreading the sermons and prayers to different branches- farther into each land, by the people heading on home from the many congregations, gatherings, assemblies or just some sort of school who use the sermons and prayers that they just heard from other pastors and ministers, and many asked permission if they could use some of the prayers or sermons, or scripture based stories before I put up the free signs- then they would copy and translate from the biggest town that had a live internet connection, then they would make a few copies, at the end of their service or gathering they would hand off some of their copies to certain people who had to travel great distances, or chosen elect saints-(mostly walking) so they would carry copies of certain parts that the pastor or minister or Chaplain would chose and then hand out to chosen elders or just righteous Christians from their own congregation, so as they walked home- or had a boat, even some type of bicycle, or other type of transportation- in safety carrying pieces of paper with scriptures ( instead of a bible which they could be killed for possessing one in some places) they would end up getting deeper into each country and sharing what they learned that day with others in their own town or village. So even though I am very sick- we still can reach the lost, and help to save souls- plus share with many people the Gospel or the Good News. So I thank all the Bishop Directors that are located around certain key points and also near the 10/40 window. It is all up to God, and it is His work, His words, every Saturday I go with the flow and never know what I will preach or talk about during worship and prayer. God is a blessing to me, but as the sickness gets harder, and I have been so weak, it is hard to get up and down for 24 hours or more. Then Sunday night and Monday I sleep. I don’t eat too much because it puts me to sleep. And I would find many bumps and bruises on my head from hitting the keyboard. So I would eat many light meals that I could swallow, or were super soft- mostly I’d drink soy shakes, or tea with natural herbs and vitamins to boost my immune system. Graviola from the Amazon, which kills bad cells and does not touch good cells, olive leaf to help healing, like they did in the early church days, powdered vitamin C, powdered Noni, powdered wheat grass, etc. And green, black, and white Tea’s which I would alter, which also helps the immune system also. I am not giving up, I have no idea how many people are getting help, or how many are being saved and introduced to Christ, I still get a few letters that would make any man cry, and many invites to help or speak or join a healing crusade.

         7.    The New Testament is its ONLY rule of faith and practice.
         8.    It has congregational form of government.
         9.    It observes weekly communion, partaking of the Lord's Supper every Lord's
day. [And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.] (Acts. 20:7-10 KJV). [Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.]1Cor.16:1-2 KJV)
[Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.] (Col.2:8-17 KJV)

         10.    Some people think we should sing without any instrumental accompaniment. We can but did you ever here a group of people just sing in all different keys. It does not sound well, and if it does not sound right to us what do you think God hears?  That is what some people think, even a note tone that piece you blow into giving us a starting note is in my book still an instrument, let us not forget the harp or any stringed instrument. As I give a few definitions below. Plus why have the beauty of a choir? Why have an organ to accompany each section of the choir, you need the bass, tenor, alto and soprano. Yes it can be done all acappella but we still need a starting note or instrument, otherwise we will all sound different, or we would sound like a group of people singing all different melodies and harmonies. [Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.]  (Col. 3:16 KJV). Let us go scripture comparison – let us search for the truth.
[Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth ;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in “psalms” and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (5:19) Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.] (Eph 5:1-33 KJV)

Well my fellow saints what is a Psalm? - what are some of the meanings of a Psalm, which is mentioned in to say no music- Col. 3:16 talking about no music? [Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;] Now we have Eph. 5:19 which also mentions psalms of praise and worship to God.

1.A sacred song; a hymn.
2.Psalms (used with a sing. verb) Abbr. Ps. tr.v. psalmed, psalm•ing, psalms
To sing of or celebrate in psalms. Psalm- [Middle English, from Old English, from Latin psalmus, from Greek psalmos, from psallein, to play the harp; see pāl- in Indo-European roots.] psalm
O.E. salm, from L. psalmus, from Gk. psalmos "song sung to a harp," originally "performance on stringed instrument," from psallein "play on a stringed instrument, pull, twitch." Used in Septuagint for Heb. mizmor "song," especially the sort sung by David to the harp.

Hymn-: Hymn\, n. [OE. hympne, ympne, F. hymne, OF. also ymne, L. hymnus, Gr. ?; perh. akin to ? web, ? to weave, and so to E. weave.] An ode or song of praise or adoration; especially, a religious ode, a sacred lyric; a song of praise or thankgiving intended to be used in religious service; as, the Homeric hymns; Watts' hymns. Admonishing one another in psalms and hymns. --Col. iii. 16. Where angels first should practice hymns, and string Their tuneful harps. --Dryden.

Hymn:
occurs only Eph. 5:19 and Col. 3:16. The verb to "sing an hymn" occurs Matt. 26:30 and Mark 14:26. The same Greek word is rendered to "sing praises" Acts 16:25 (R.V., "sing hymns") and Heb. 2:12. The "hymn" which our Lord sang with his disciples at the last Supper is generally supposed to have been the latter part of the Hallel, comprehending Ps. 113-118. It was thus a name given to a number of psalms taken together and forming a devotional exercise. The noun hymn is used only with reference to the services of the Greeks, and was distinguished from the psalm. The Greek tunes required Greek hymns. Our information regarding the hymnology of the early Christians is very limited.

         11.    Supported by weekly contribution from members.
         12.    Must preach same gospel the apostles preached. [And he said unto them,

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.] (Mk. 16:15-20 KJV)

[Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.] (Acts 2:38 KJV)

[I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.] (Gal. 1:6-9 KJV).

"THE FIRST EARLY CHURCH"
Introduction:
       I.    Roman Catholic so considered. False!
       2.    "First Church of Christ" not first at all.
       3.    First church was mentioned in New Testament before either
                of these was established.
[Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.] (1Pet 1:21 KJV)

I.    THE FIRST CHURCH.
       1.    Its purity. [Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. (1 Pet. 1:22-25 KJV) [Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.]  ( James 1:27 KJV)
       2.    Its privileges.
             (a)    Worship.  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42 KJV) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24 KJV) [Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.] (Col. 3:16 KJV)

             (b)    Prayer. [And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.] (Gal. 4:6-7 KJV) [I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.] (1Tim. 2:8 KJV) [Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.] (e) Son-ship. (1 John 3:1 KJV)

[But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:]  (John 1:12-13 KJV)  13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

             (d)    Heirs. [For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.] (Rom. 8:14-17 KJV)
       3. Its peace. – [Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.] (Eph. 2:11-17 KJV)

[Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.] (Rom. 5:12-15)

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.  (1 Cor. 14:33 KJV)

       4.    Its power. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  (Rom. 1:16 KJV)   But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (2Cor.4:7 KJV)  [For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ] (2Cor.10:3-5 KJV)

       5.    Its purpose. [But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.]  (I Tim. 3:15 KJV)  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord]: (Eph. 3:10-11 KJV) [His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.] (Eph. 3:10-13 NIV) - (Not to entertain, make money, or become worldly, but to save souls!)

       6.    Its perfection. [And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power]:  (Col. 2:10 KJV)   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2Tim. 3:16-17 KJV)

       7.  Its  eternity. [And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.]  (Matt. 16:18 KJV)  27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: (Heb. 12:27-28 KJV)

II.According to Statistics- Some of the "Churches" that were established since the FIRST ONE (Bride of Christ) may be one of the ones that are considered lukewarm. [But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.  (Matt. 15:13 KJV)

III.[And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.]  (Rev. 14:8-11 KJV)

[And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.] (Col 3:17-25 KJV)

[For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone]; (Eph. 2: 18-20 KJV)

I am sorry I am going to have to do what I did last week, because I have no more room to put the Candle-Light Prayer list up, and each person or group, nothing has really changed, so push on the red button and look for the same candlestick Holder and pray away.  I found out my Bishop Secretary had some dangerous problems while getting his muscles sewed back together, he had to have each muscle sown back from his knee to the upper part of his inseam and they accidentally cut the main artery to his leg and they had to open him back up three times to stop the bleeding, on the battle field he could have maybe lost his leg, but we had a few or many people praying for him. So now he is all right each muscle is working and where it is connected and supposed to be. He picked up one of those hide- a- beds and all the muscles in his leg ripped and ended down by his knee. So all his muscles were surrounding his knee, so he could not move his leg or even walk. I will check out the impressions that were made for my teeth, last Tuesday and they will show me what needs to be done Wednesday, because I have an ¾ of an inch over bite, the impressions was in a new world of pain, because my Gums are so sore and infected. I thank and pray for Tim and Candy who have been working on getting me teeth, I have gone without for almost 5 years. So if I just get the uppers, I will be thrilled but it will take a long time to have my mouth get used to them, in and out for a while till I can keep them in for a ½ minute, then a minute then 5 then a half hour and so on- it will take along time, to have a hard piece of plastic in my mouth- with the shape my mouth and gums are in.  Maybe I can line them with a new soft material, we are still praying for my family doctor- Dr. Conner, she had a sore knee, which I hope is healed, that is the lest I can do after all she has done for me- and who has helped me all through these years, and Linda has helped a lot along with Michael and Roselle, we are still praying for Ethel- Doctors Mom, and she is improving. So please help us all with our prayers, my step sister Barbara has lupus in a bad stage but she is getting better also. It is a blessing to have people that care for you, and they have all helped trying to get me back to health. So join me in prayer for Dr. Conner, and the names I added above who are in the offices and staff, and for the healing of Ethel, Dr. Conner’s Mom.  Plus we need to pray for Dr. Tim and Candy at the Keaau dental center with the teeth building and the pain. With the appointments and the labs, and the ride service to Keaau, with Hilo Harry’s medical rides. I pass on the blessings, of peace, and care for each person, in both offices- I thank God for His power and the wheels are now turning for all our health. And you all need to join me in prayer for complete healing for Ethel and Dr. Conner’s knee which may already be healed. So you will have to hit the button by the candle holder to get to the whole prayer list. So please all join me in prayer.
I have to do the same thing with the Presidential Prayer Team push on the button and you will be able to pray for the list of all our leadership. I am part of the team and spend a long time praying for our leadership, if you wish to join me, you are welcome to pray with me. Or you can press on the White House and see what the team is all about.
Closing Prayer

Dear Lord, As we come to a close of our service today, we want to thank each and everyone of you for attending and sharing our service, we don’t need a building, we need the fellowship of our people, and we need to express our love to all mankind and to show the way to salvation to all that do not know Christ, and to have a personnel relationship with Jesus. We are the farmers that do the planting, and the watering, and our mighty Father does the rest, all we can do is love and forgive all people, and give a hope of joy to them until Jesus returns, it may be tomorrow or the next day but if we keep our hearts pure without envy and jealousy, and wanting money and power, God will take care of His children, I am a proven fact. Just to be here this day and be able to say this prayer is a gift from God. See you all next week, grace and peace be with you always, In Jesus Name Amen and Amen.
