Here was our proposed church. But it is not available to rent or lease. Everytime I would walk by, I would get hit by the Holy Spirit, and tears would run down my face. I could feel the Spirit, talking to me, deep down in my heart. There is still hope, I met a friend, the other day that owns it, and we prayed together, and he helped me with my anxiety. The thing is that he was telling me the story of how he was lead by the spirit, to give it away to someone else, and he gave it away few weeks ago for some recording ministry. Why would I run into the man that owns it finally, and I have been searching for the owner for 6 months. So we are all praying. It needs a lot of work, but I felt the Lord brought me here, to this very spot for some reason, and this church does have that feeling, the presence of God. I wanted this church to be a church, I wanted to open the doors months ago, and I had the money and the people to repair it. Now, I don't have any finances. Maybe by the grace of God this brother, through Christ, will change his mind. I don't want to stand in another persons dream, or ministry, but this old church is in a wonderful neighborhood, our neighborhood, it has purpose and meaning, and I think we could do a lot of good for the kingdom of God, and help and teach many people the Love of Christ. The church office is about 2 blocks away, and we still need a building in downtown Hilo, to help, feed, and clothe, the poor. For some reason, in my heart, I believe this church will be an addition. God help us! I believe, and I have the faith, and when I stand up, the first day that we open the doors, I will be in tears, of the most joyous day of my life, that the power of almighty God has answered my prayer. And all this suffering will be over.
Here is the street going down to the office, it has a beautiful view just driving down the road. We are on the very end, so you have a view of the open ocean, at least now we have a God given place to meet. All the people and neighbors are all wonderful from every ethnic background imaginable. We still pray for a building, but I guess that will come when I heal up.
Here is where it all started, Our church, it isn't royalty, but most churches start in people's basements. We all know, the church are the people, not the place.
Here is the church office conference room, where we have and spiritual direction meetings, prayer, bible discussions, salvation prayers, and board meetings. This is where we do all the work for the church, the website, and prayer with many of the networks throughout the whole world. We do the printing and designing of all our documents and certificates right here.
I Rev. Paul have gone though a great amount of suffering which none of it can explained. I myself can understand some of it, for training, and of course testing of my faith toward God. Only God knows the reason for everything else.
I Rev. Paul have gone through great amounts of suffering; I understand that the prophets have gone through great amounts themselves. And also many others have been tortured, and killed, for Christ throughout the whole course of history. I do not understand any of all this suffering, I understand that most of this is for the testing of my faith, to gain wisdom, character, endurance, and to reach the next level for the kingdom, but and I am under constant attack by the devil. Yes I want to do great and mighty things for the people of God, and people who do not know God. Yes I do want to make a change for the better of human life, and to show them the right road of the Love of Christ. I have been infected with every fear and worry known to myself, which of course does not make any sense at all ,because if I am living in the Spirit of God (Gal. 5:16-26) so why should I fear? If then perfect love casts out fear, (1John 4:18) how can I possibly have it? The whole matter is illogical. I am devoted to learning and have been in the holy word everyday for years, (2Tim 2:15) and have dedicated most of my time to helping, loving, caring and understanding others, which is what I love to do. That is my joy, which is the warmth and the tears, when I am able to help another. It seems I am not permitted to do anything other than pray for people, and to build this church website. I have accepted that, and I cherish it. I have tried to advertise or witness for the church, on the street and a massive fear comes over me. Now if Satan does not what me to exploit Jesus Christ and the Love of God, why and I so afraid. Why has my mouth been afflicted for over a month, which I am unable to speak, and still going on? Don’t I have the power and Spirit of God within me? (2Tim. 1:7) Isn’t God stronger, or am I supposed to learn, tolerate pain, or be persecuted more? (2Cor. 12:10) Or be totally week where I rely totally on God, and not any of my own thoughts, and feelings at all. I understand God is my strength, and I am nothing without Him. So why does this keep happening? I do rely on the power and the direction of God. What and whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1) If I am already dead in Christ (Gal.2:20) and I live by faith, why would fear or rejection matter? I carry and where the armor of God, so how can I even be moved. (Eph 6:10-18) I am afflicted in almost every daily normal experience, to where I almost know what will happen next to hurt me, or break my heart, or to cause a severe amount of ultimate stress that I begin to scream. Of course that is not like me, I am even beginning to yell which I have never done before. I have also considered the anticipation can cause a reality, but submitting to God should eliminate all of the afflictions. (James 4:7) The book of Job in contrast is that I am living, and the physical end, and family loss, is not as intense, but the mental torture, and daily burdens, and hardships, has gone beyond anything in the book of Job. Paul’s sufferings in (2Cor. 11), a lot of them were physical, some environmental, and I have shared a few, but to my mind, the troubles, the misfortunes, the miseries, the difficulties, have gone beyond his sufferings, and I Rev. Paul cannot lie. I have considered generational curses, but they do not hold up to scripture. I considered all of my past sins, which I have renounced all, and hidden sins, more than once. I have even considered living in sin, which is not the element. So what is left? Psalm 34:17-19, Isaiah 54:17, 1John 2:15-17, 2Cor. 10:3-5, 1John 5:18, Rom. 8:38-39, Isaiah 41:10, 1John 5:4-5, Psalm 37:25, Psalm 55:22, Psalm 15.
So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict. But when you are directed by the Holy Spirit, you are no longer subject to the law.
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or irritate one another, or be jealous of one another.Gal. 5:16-26 NLT
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2Tim 2:15 NASV
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2Tim 1:7NKJV
Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2Cor.12:10 ASV
The LORD is my light and my salvation-
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life-
of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 NIV
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." Gal 2:20 NASV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, Eph.6:10-18 NASV
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.James 4:7 NIV
And they are descendants of Abraham? So am I. They say they serve Christ? I know I sound like a madman, but I have served him far more! I have worked harder, been put in jail more often, been whipped times without number, and faced death again and again. Five different times the Jews gave me thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. I have traveled many weary miles. I have faced danger from flooded rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the stormy seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be Christians but are not.I have lived with weariness and pain and sleepless nights. Often I have been hungry and thirsty and have gone without food. Often I have shivered with cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm.
Then, besides all this, I have the daily burden of how the churches are getting along. Who is weak without my feeling that weakness? Who is led astray, and I do not burn with anger? 2Cor.11:22b-29 NLT
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
A righteous man may have many troubles,
but the LORD delivers him from them all; Psalm 34:17-19 NIV
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1John 2:15-17 NASV
We are human, but we don't wage war with human plans and methods. We use God's mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil's strongholds. With these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons we conquer their rebellious ideas, and we teach them to obey Christ. 2Cor.10:3-5 NLT
We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.1John 5:18 NIV
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:38-39 NASV
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isa.41:10 NIV
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1John 5:4-5 NASV
I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread. Psalm 37:25 NIV
Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Psalm 55:22 NASV
LORD , who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill?
He whose walk is blameless
and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
who despises a vile man
but honors those who fear the LORD ,
who keeps his oath
even when it hurts,
who lends his money without usury
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things
will never be shaken. Psalm 15 NIV
"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper;
And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their vindication is from Me," declares the LORD. Isa. 54:17 NASV
The Message to the Church in Ephesus
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Ephesus. This is the message from the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, the one who walks among the seven gold lampstands:
"I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don't tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting. But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don't, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. But there is this about you that is good: You hate the deeds of the immoral Nicolaitans, just as I do.
"Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Everyone who is victorious will eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God." Rev.2:1-7
The Message to the Church in Smyrna
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Smyrna. This is the message from the one who is the First and the Last, who died and is alive:
"I know about your suffering and your poverty--but you are rich! I know the slander of those opposing you. They say they are Jews, but they really aren't because theirs is a synagogue of Satan. Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The Devil will throw some of you into prison and put you to the test. You will be persecuted for `ten days.' Remain faithful even when facing death, and I will give you the crown of life.
"Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Whoever is victorious will not be hurt by the second death." Rev. 2:8-11
The Message to the Church in Pergamum
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Pergamum. This is the message from the one who has a sharp two-edged sword:
"I know that you live in the city where that great throne of Satan is located, and yet you have remained loyal to me. And you refused to deny me even when Antipas, my faithful witness, was martyred among you by Satan's followers. And yet I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you who are like Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to worship idols by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin. In the same way, you have some Nicolaitans among you--people who follow the same teaching and commit the same sins. Repent, or I will come to you suddenly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
"Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Everyone who is victorious will eat of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it." Rev. 2:12-17
The Message to the Church in Thyatira
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Thyatira. This is the message from the Son of God, whose eyes are bright like flames of fire, whose feet are like polished bronze:
"I know all the things you do--your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance. And I can see your constant improvement in all these things. But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman--that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet--to lead my servants astray. She is encouraging them to worship idols, eat food offered to idols, and commit sexual sin. I gave her time to repent, but she would not turn away from her immorality. Therefore, I will throw her upon a sickbed, and she will suffer greatly with all who commit adultery with her, unless they turn away from all their evil deeds. I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve. But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (`deeper truths,' as they call them--depths of Satan, really). I will ask nothing more of you except that you hold tightly to what you have until I come.
"To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, I will give authority over all the nations. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots. They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the morning star! Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Rev. 2:18-29
The Message to the Church in Sardis
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars:
"I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive--but you are dead. 2Now wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is at the point of death. Your deeds are far from right in the sight of God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly and turn to me again. Unless you do, I will come upon you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.
"Yet even in Sardis there are some who have not soiled their garments with evil deeds. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine. Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Rev 3:1-6
The Message to the Church in Philadelphia
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true. He is the one who has the key of David. He opens doors, and no one can shut them; he shuts doors, and no one can open them.
"I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can shut. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me. Look! I will force those who belong to Satan--those liars who say they are Jews but are not--to come and bow down at your feet. They will acknowledge that you are the ones I love.
"Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. Look, I am coming quickly. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write my God's name on them, and they will be citizens in the city of my God--the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And they will have my new name inscribed upon them. Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Rev. 3:7-13
The Message to the Church in Laodicea
"Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen--the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation:
"I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, `I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I advise you to buy gold from me--gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference.
"Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends. I will invite everyone who is victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches."Rev. 3:14-22
III. We have the conclusion of this epistle, in which, as in those that follow, we have,
1. A call to attention: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Observe, (1.) What is written in the scriptures is spoken by the Spirit of God. (2.) What is said to one church concerns all the churches, in every place and age. (3.) We can never employ our faculty of hearing better than in hearkening to the word of God: and we deserve to lose it if we do not employ it to this purpose. Those who will not hear the call of God now will wish at length they had never had a capacity of hearing any thing at all.
2. A promise of great mercy to those who overcome. The Christian life is a warfare against sin, Satan, the world, and the flesh. It is not enough that we engage in this warfare, but we must pursue it to the end, we must never yield to our spiritual enemies, but fight the good fight, till we gain the victory, as all persevering Christians shall do; and the warfare and victory shall have a glorious triumph and reward. That which is here promised to the victors is that they shall eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of God. They shall have that perfection of holiness, and that confirmation therein, which Adam would have had if he had gone well through the course of his trial: he would then have eaten of the tree of life which was in the midst of paradise, and this would have been the sacrament of confirmation to him in his holy and happy state; so all who persevere in their Christian trial and warfare shall derive from Christ, as the tree of life, perfection and confirmation in holiness and happiness in the paradise of God; not in the earthly paradise, but the heavenly, ch. xxii. 1, 2
III. The conclusion of this message, and that, as before, 1. With a call to universal attention, that all men, all the world, should hear what passes between Christ and his churches--how he commends them, how he comforts them, how he reproves their failures, how he rewards their fidelity. It concerns all the inhabitants of the world to observe God's dealings with his own people; all the world may learn instruction and wisdom thereby. 2. With a gracious promise to the conquering Christian: He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death, v. 11. Observe, (1.) There is not only a first, but a second death, a death after the body is dead. (2.) This second death is unspeakably worse than the first death, both in the dying pangs and agonies of it (which are the agonies of the soul, without any mixture of support) and in the duration; it is eternal death, dying the death, to die and to be always dying. This is hurtful indeed, fatally hurtful, to all who fall under it. (3.) From this hurtful, this destructive death, Christ will save all his faithful servants; the second death shall have no power over those who are partakers of the first resurrection: the first death shall not hurt them, and the second death shall have no power over them.
III. We have the conclusion of this epistle, where, after the usual demand of universal attention, there is the promise of great favour to those that overcome. They shall eat of the hidden manna, and have the new name, and the white stone, which no man knoweth, saving he that receiveth it, v. 17. 1. The hidden manna, the influences and comforts of the Spirit of Christ in communion with him, coming down from heaven into the soul, from time to time, for its support, to let it taste something how saints and angels live in heaven. This is hidden from the rest of the world--a stranger intermeddles not with this joy; and it is laid up in Christ, the ark of the covenant, in the holy of holies. 2. The white stone, with a new name engraven upon it. This white stone is absolution from the guilt of sin, alluding to the ancient custom of giving a white stone to those acquitted on trial and a black stone to those condemned. The new name is the name of adoption: adopted persons took the name of the family into which they were adopted. None can read the evidence of a man's adoption but himself; he cannot always read it, but if he persevere he shall have both the evidence of sonship and the inheritance.
III. We now come to the conclusion of this message, v. 26-29. Here we have, 1. The promise of an ample reward to the persevering victorious believer, in two parts:-- (1.) Very great power and dominion over the rest of the world: Power over the nations, which may refer either to the time when the empire should turn Christian, and the world be under the government of the Christian emperor, as in Constantine's time; or to the other world, when believers shall sit down with Christ on his throne of judgment, and join with him in trying, and condemning, and consigning over to punishment the enemies of Christ and the church. The upright shall have dominion in the morning. (2.) Knowledge and wisdom, suitable to such power and dominion: I will give him the morning-star. Christ is the morning-star. He brings day with him into the soul, the light of grace and of glory; and he will give his people that perfection of light and wisdom which is requisite to the state of dignity and dominion that they shall have in the morning of the resurrection. 2. This epistle ends with the usual demand of attention: He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. In the foregoing epistles, this demand of attention comes before the concluding promise; but in this, and all that follow, it comes after, and tells us that we should all attend to the promises as well as to the precepts that Christ delivers to the churches.
III. We now come to the conclusion of this epistle, in which, as before, we have,
1. A great reward promised to the conquering Christian (v. 5), and it is very much the same with what has been already mentioned: He that overcometh shall be clothed in white raiment. The purity of grace shall be rewarded with the perfect purity of glory. Holiness, when perfected, shall be its own reward; glory is the perfection of grace, differing not in kind, but in degree. Now to this is added another promise very suitable to the case: I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Observe, (1.) Christ has his book of life, a register and roll of all who shall inherit eternal life. [1.] The book of eternal election. [2.] The book of remembrance of all those who have lived to God, and have kept up the life and power of godliness in evil times. (2.) Christ will not blot the names of his chosen and faithful ones out of this book of life; men may be enrolled in the registers of the church, as baptized, as making a profession, as having a name to live, and that name may come to be blotted out of the roll, when it appears that it was but a name, a name to live, without spiritual life; such often lose the very name before they die, they are left of God to blot out their own names by their gross and open wickedness. But the names of those that overcome shall never be blotted out. (3.) Christ will produce this book of life, and confess the names of the faithful who stand there, before God, and all the angels; he will do this as their Judge, when the books shall be opened; he will do this as their captain and head, leading them with him triumphantly to heaven, presenting them to the Father: Behold me, and the children that thou hast given me. How great will this honour and reward be!
2. The demand of universal attention finishes the message. Every word from God deserves attention from men; that which may seem more particularly directed to one body of men has something in it instructive to all.
III. The conclusion of this epistle, v. 12, 13. Here,
1. After his usual manner, our Saviour promises a glorious reward to the victorious believer, in two things:-- (1.) He shall be a monumental pillar in the temple of God; not a pillar to support the temple (heaven needs no such props), but a monument of the free and powerful grace of God, a monument that shall never be defaced nor removed, as many stately pillars erected in honour to the Roman emperors and generals have been. (2.) On this monumental pillar there shall be an honourable inscription, as in those cases is usual. [1.] The name of God, in whose cause he engaged, whom he served, and for whom he suffered in this warfare; and the name of the city of God, the church of God, the new Jerusalem, which came down from heaven. On this pillar shall be recorded all the services the believer did to the church of God, how he asserted her rights, enlarged her borders, maintained her purity and honour; this will be a greater name than Asiaticus, or Africanus; a soldier under God in the wars of the church. And then another part of the inscription is, [2.] The new name of Christ, the Mediator, the Redeemer, the captain of our salvation; by this it will appear under whose banner this conquering believer had enlisted, under whose conduct he acted, by whose example he was encouraged, and under whose influence he fought the good fight, and came off victorious.
2. The epistle is closed up with the demand of attention: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, how Christ loves and values his faithful people, how he commends, and how he will crown their fidelity.
III. We now come to the conclusion of this epistle; and here we have as before,
1. The promise made to the overcoming believer. It is here implied, (1.) That though this church seemed to be wholly overrun and overcome with lukewarmness and self-confidence, yet it was possible that by the reproofs and counsels of Christ they might be inspired with fresh zeal and vigour, and might come off conquerors in their spiritual warfare. (2.) That, if they did so, all former faults should be forgiven, and they should have a great reward. And what is that reward? They shall sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and have sat down with my Father on his throne, v. 21. Here it is intimated, [1.] That Christ himself had met with his temptations and conflicts. [2.] That he overcame them all, and was more than a conqueror. [3.] That, as the reward of his conflict and victory, he has sat down with God the Father on his throne, possessed of that glory which he had with the Father from eternity, but which he was pleased very much to conceal on earth, leaving it as it were in the hands of the Father, as a pledge that he would fulfil the work of a Saviour before he reassumed that manifestative glory; and, having done so, then pignus reposcere--he demands the pledge, to appear in his divine glory equal to the Father. [4.] That those who are conformed to Christ in his trials and victories shall be conformed to him in his glory; they shall sit down with him on his throne, on his throne of judgment at the end of the world, on his throne of glory to all eternity, shining in his beams by virtue of their union with him and relation to him, as the mystical body of which he is the head.
2. All is closed up with the general demand of attention (v. 22), putting all to whom these epistles shall come in mind that what is contained in them is not of private interpretation, not intended for the instruction, reproof, and correction of those particular churches only, but of all the churches of Christ in all ages and parts of the world: and as there will be a resemblance in all succeeding churches to these, both in their graces and sins, so they may expect that God will deal with them as he dealt with these, which are patterns to all ages what faithful, and fruitful churches may expect to receive from God, and what those who are unfaithful may expect to suffer from his hand; yea, that God's dealings with his churches may afford useful instruction to the rest of the world, to put them upon considering, If judgment begin at the house of God, what shall the end of those be that do not obey the gospel of Christ? 1 Pet. iv. 17. Thus end the messages of Christ to the Asian churches, the epistolary part of this book. We now come to the prophetical part.

Sunday Service December 21st, 2003.
Good morning everyone, this will be our second service for The Church Ministries. Although I as your Pastor have gone though a great amount of sufferings, and we are still at war with the evil one. I must follow the Holy Spirits direction, this way we will all gain the understanding of love and the truth of this church, the body of Christ. We are all one body, the body of unity, and love toward our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ. We are a bible based church which follows not the world, but the essence and path of God.
Normally we would tend to have a Christmas service today, but the Lord is leading me to express the feelings of my heart. We are all out running around for presents, and the hustle and bustle of shopping through stores, and with all that extra traffic we have all experienced. I myself have waited in very long lines at the post office, and many other places. Everyone is hanging up lights, and decorating trees, wrapping presents, and planning for large dinners, with all the guests and families. Family members flying here and there, from all over the world to be with each other on this special day, with all kinds of reservations and timetables. The airport lines, the security, the packing the unpacking, who will be late, and who will not be able to get to the attendance of the gathering, it turns out that all these get-together's of Christmas are a bit stressful. Even the writing and sending of cards, who you forgot, will they be late, did I write the right thing, is all apart of the world.
We will be having a special Christmas service all related to birth of Christ.
But for now we are going to enter a quite different type of service today. This is a bible truth Church, I could not speak today anyway as you all know, I have suffered a biopsy of a tumor that was taken out of my mouth on the 25th of November, and through all your prayers which I thank each and everyone of you all, it was not cancerous. And now I still have an inflamed mouth, and I have not been able to eat or chew since the 13th of November. Now, we all know the devil is trying to stop this church from succeeding. But we all know our God is in control.
I said a Christmas Prayer for you because the season's near. I didn't ask for riches but for gifts so much dear. I asked for a joyful gatherings with your family all around, and for carols to inspire you with there old familiar sound. I asked for quiet moments in your heart on Christmas morn, for a special time to celebrate the Savior who was born. I asked for friends to send their best that you might know they care.. I asked for peace and love and hope; and I know God heard my prayer.
